In order to work well, you must eat well! At Buitenwerkplaats, we eat lunch together with our guests, and when the weather permits, we enjoy our meals outside. If you have a group of more than 10 people, you can also arrange to have dinner here, cooked on location by our excellent chef, Saskia. We have many other refreshment options from healthy snacks and mouth-watering cakes, to snacks and drinks to celebrate the conclusion of your meeting.
At Buitenwerkplaats, we have a communal lunch where we refuel together and share experiences. We usually eat around 12:30, but you can request a different time, or you can request to eat separately. Depending on the weather and the season, we will make a salad or a soup, all from fresh vegetables and some of which we have grown and harvested here at Buitenwerkplaats. To accompany this, we share fresh organic bread, various cheeses, slices of meat, and sweet spreads. Our praised homemade pear syrup and berry jam will be on the table too.

Dinner with the chef
Your meals will be prepared onsite in our new building, The Stal (Stable). The Stal has been created to provide a relaxing change of scene, and time to refresh and refuel before you continue work. You get a change of scene but it’s only a few steps away; across the central courtyard. Whatever the weather, joining us for dinner means you can sit at a beautifully laid out table and enjoy the stunning view across the unspoilt countryside.
If you choose to stay for dinner, you can choose between a simple and tasty meal as a break from your meeting, or you can indulge in a feast of several delicious courses. We choose seasonal ingredients and if you like, you can work with chef, Saskia Strawford-Stolk, to arrange the perfect menu. You can choose to base the meal on meat or fish, or choose a vegetarian option. When the season is right, we use vegetables and herbs from our own, ever-expanding garden.
The menus here are examples of what you can expect. The prices include non-alcoholic drinks and VAT, and are based on a group of 10+ people. When you have special requests or dietary requirements, or if you are interested in a cooking workshop, please contact Saskia Strawford-Stolk directly by phone or by email and she will be happy to help:
